In an interview with the BBC, the Oscar-nominated actor said he would "love" to play Armstrong, adding, "I would be interested in that. I think he's fascinating. What a fascinating character."

Paramount Pictures is planning to make an Armstrong film, but hasn't officially mentioned any casting yet, although Matt Damon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Fassbender andChristian Bale have also been mentioned as possibilities for the role.
