What up Louisville! I'm one of the weekend people here at 989 Radio Now. Feel free to hit me up anytime and say hello!
So yeah, my name is Vijay and I was born and raised in the DC Area, Takoma Park to be exact. I've also lived in DC, several other towns throughout Maryland, New York City, Williamsport, PA (Home of the Little League World Series) and the Philippines! I love working in radio and have been doing it for about 3 years. It all started when I was an intern down in DC in '08...
I'm sure this guy will be kicking himself for a while..
Alex Permann sank a half-court shot during a contest before the Missouri Valley title game on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old Missouri-St. Louis student leapt in the air and pumped his fists like he'd just won the $50,000 cash prize.
Unfortunately for Permann, there was a problem: He hadn't properly followed directions. He skipped the three pointer he was supposed to hit to win the $50K!
Tournament organizers say that Permann won't get his $50,000 because he didn't hit all four shots, but he'll receive tickets for life to the Missouri Valley tournament and four VIP passes and a three-day hotel stay for next year's event.
It's called "5AM in Toronto."
He seems pretty angry in this song. I've been in Toronto at 5am, people are still very nice at that hour! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You're going to LOSE YOUR MIND when you find out what this poor woman found out about her boyfriend 6 months into them dating. I bet she wished he admitted to being a serial killer instead.
A woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, met a guy named Corey while she was on a trip to the Bahamas. They found out they only lived a few hours apart back in the States. When they got back, they started dating. About six months in and after they'd been hooking up A LOT, the woman took Corey to a family barbeque to meet her parents. And when they got there, and Corey met her father, he said "Dad?"
It turns out the woman's dad had an entire SECRET FAMILY on the side, and Corey was his son. So, she'd been dating her HALF-SIBLING. The woman says she and Corey decided to stop seeing each other, and completely stopped talking to each other. Her mother is getting divorced from her father, and she and her father are, quote, "slowly trying to rebuild our relationship."
