I'm really bad at these things...but here's what you need to know. I'm new to the 'Ville! I came here from Tulsa, Oklahoma but was born and raised in Alabama. I'm engaged. I have a dog (a weiner dog, if that counts). I live in St. Mathews. I like sushi and pizza. I drink Diet Mountain Dew entirely more than I should. I dislike brightly colored food. If it's purple, light green, or orange, the changes are I'm not going to eat it. Also like football, running, and the word poop. It makes me laugh. Anything else you need to know...call and ask!
Trending today after the holdiay weekend is this video that popped up out of Nashville. A 21-year old, who in an interview with The Tennessean describes himself as a Libertarian, is stopped at a DUI checkpoint. There is no sign that he had been drinking, and the stop starts quite routine.
The officer asks him to roll down his window all the way, he refuses, and the exchange escalates from there. The officer obviously becomes irritated with the guy being a hare rude over some pretty typical requests...but he also certainly abuses his power in a couple of instances as well.
Now, there are two sides to every story. I can certainly see why the officer would be suspicious of a guy who refuses to even roll down his window all the way. By the same token, there were absolutely some Constitutional rights violated here, and the man who was pulled over technically didn't do anything to warrant the treatment he received from the Nasvhille PD.
I do also question the fact that this guy had the video rolling before the officer ever even asked him to roll his window down. To me, it seems like maybe this dude was trying to provoke the officer to enhance his political views.
Watch the video below...whose side are you on? The cop or the guy that's being pulled over? Comment below!
